Tally
Turn any bank statement into a clean transaction ledger, with every balance checked line by line.
À propos de ce modèle
Tally turns a bank or credit-card statement into a clean transaction ledger — and checks the arithmetic before it hands it back.
Upload one statement: a PDF from online banking, or a photo or scan of a posted one. You get every transaction back as data you can post, import or underwrite from — date, description, money in, money out, running balance.
Checked, not just copied
Most extraction tools hand you rows and leave the tying-back to you. That step is the one that gets skipped, and it is the one that catches mistakes.
Tally re-adds the statement itself, and confirms three things:
- The opening balance plus every transaction really does reach the closing balance
- Each line's running balance follows from the line above it
- The bank's own printed totals agree with its own rows
When something does not add up, Tally names the line that is wrong, not just the total. And it never quietly corrects your document — a statement that does not reconcile is reported exactly as printed, so you can take it back to the bank.
Who uses it
- Bookkeepers turning client statements into postable entries
- Accountants working through year-end from PDFs and paper
- Lenders and brokers building an affordability picture from applicant statements
- Finance teams reconciling accounts across banks and currencies
How it works
- Upload a statement
- Tally reads every line exactly as printed
- Every balance and total is recalculated and checked
- Download your ledger, or come back for it later
No templates, no per-bank setup, nothing to map.
What you get back
- CSV — one row per transaction, ready for your accounting package or spreadsheet. Every row carries its account and currency, so several statements concatenate cleanly.
- PDF — the account, the balances, the full ledger, and anything that failed its check listed under "Check before posting".
- JSON — the whole statement as structured data, for anything you want to build on top of it.
Good to know
- Accepts PDF, JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC, up to 25 MB
- Works with any bank, currency or language — descriptions come back exactly as printed
- One file at a time: one statement, one period, one account
- Billed per transaction from your prepaid balance, and only for runs that succeed
- Results stay in your dashboard for 30 days so you can re-download them free, then they are deleted
- The statement itself is held only while the job runs, then cleared
- Tally transcribes and checks. It does not categorise spending, assign expense codes, or judge creditworthiness
